Review on AUSPDICE: Artisan-made Polyhedral Dice with Stunning Inclusions by Micheal Chaplain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice but maybe too expensive.

first let me say these dice are amazing. I got them when I was playing GM and didn't like throwing my metal dice at all my game materials and they fit the role. Those are great bones, but maybe that's where it ends. All my friends "moaned" and "trembled" in front of them until they got their hands on them. You look at the price but don't feel it. I'm a big lover of textures so looking at the pics and some reviews I expected them to be nice to them as that's about half of what I look for when buying cubes and it's something that when buying, it is always impossible to measure cubes. However, they feel cheap. Edges appear rough, and normally sharp dice are incredibly smooth, polished to the point where they appear intentionally sharp. However, this is not the case with them, they simply appear unfinished. Unfortunately, that means I might polish them myself, which I wouldn't expect for $30+ dice. All in all these are nice cubes and props for those who hand created them. I really have no idea what goes into making dice by hand, so $30+ might be reasonable for these dice, but in a world where I can feel significantly better dice for less than $10. I guess I'm only paying for the look, which may or may not be worth it.
