I decided to give it a try as the reviews were good. I received it in the mail, tried it on and immediately packed it up to send it back. Why? The first thing that struck me was the obscenely short cords. You get a USB 3 cable that is about a foot and a half long. You also get about a foot of HDMI. Not a good first impression. I connected the device and looked through the settings as it is plug and play. There is also a software CD which I haven't bothered with. If you look at the grip it generates, it's worth the $130 you're paying. I would say it's not even worth $130. So $130 plus $10 for each longer cable type works out to $150.30 per second of capture - while it looks sharp, it looks heavily processed, like too much sharpening has been applied to the photo. It also tells me that when shooting 30fps 60fps the device applies a sharpening filter - it is NOT a 60fps device. It says it records 60 fps, it can even run at 60 fps, but it mostly uses frame blending, which causes severe image degradation. The quality is instantaneously and noticeably softer because frames have to be blended. If you can stream 60 fps, get another device. This is a good device for beginners if you only want to stream at 30 fps and no more. 60 fps is complete nonsense. Since you're basically paying $150 pre-tax for this device because you have to buy more cables, you can also pay for the Elgato HD S model or the AverMedia model, which plays true 60 fps and delivers quality. AverMedia model with 60 frames per second. The second image is MYPIN at 30 frames per second. The third image is MYPIN at 60 fps.
