I upgraded to this monitor from a 10 year old Samsung 60Hz monitor. Initially, image quality was just average (I had to use an HDMI cable because the included DisplayPort cable is insanely short). Second, I was able to switch to the correct Displayport cable and the picture quality improved immediately. For the price this is the best 25 inch on the market in my opinion. Don't waste your time with Acer draining your bank account, it will be very good. However, be aware that you buy a longer display port cable at the time of purchase, as the cable that comes with it is about 5 feet long and doesn't give you much room to work.
