Review on ๐Ÿž๏ธ YAKIMA, Landing Pad Rooftop Fixed Point Tower Installation for Uncovered Surfaces by Todd Mohr

Great parts, best in the sport

These landing pads are designed for use where there is access to the underside of the vehicle roof. They work great on RV hulls. The beauty of these bases, however, is that no matter what car you buy and what factory vehicle it comes with, you can install these bases and use any Yakima accessories you want. Of course you always have little "warts" on the roof afterwards, but who cares. I used them on my 2002-2006 second generation Honda CRV to get the longer front to rear crossbar spacing I wanted. I was able to find factory instructions to remove the headliner, choose the strongest and best place to mount it, and install it myself. If you don't want to, just find an upholstery shop that will do the headlining for you. Do not spread them too far front to back as some accessories require a shorter stem to stem spacing such as B. Bike and roof racks. Carrier. Actually, I have three pairs on the roof.

Pros
  • Plenty of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
