We love watching the birds at the bird feeders but are put off by the fact that squirrels round them up every day and eat anything that catches our eye. We have tried several hot salas and this is the favorite of birds, songbirds and others. The woodpeckers are waiting for us to put it out and start muttering, wishing we'd avoided them so they can gas up. I saw someone "warn" you about the hot pepper part, but that makes it effective for feeding birds. . If you want to attract squirrels, use something else as they will devour everything else and scare away the birds we love to watch. I would give five stars if it arrived on time but it doesn't. It is found in hot places that can melt any other infusible type. It's expensive, but not as expensive as trying to give birds and furry critters adequate space.
