Resurrected a dormant Asus laptop by replacing its slow HDD with a new one. The faster pace is noticeable right away. I transferred all the files and information off of the old HDD and onto the system disk. Data (including the boot record) could be copied from the previous disk without difficulty using the tool provided with the kit. If there are two hard drive bays in the computer, we just plug the SSD into one of them, power up the machine, and launch the appropriate software. When everything is done, we set the new SSD disk as bootable in the BIOS and have fun.
