This item is really, really cool. I gave it to my daughter and I to play with. We just look at random things and see what they look like. Some things may surprise you. You have to use your phone's zoom to get a very high magnification picture and it can be difficult to see things because you have to be a certain distance from the object you are looking at and it's difficult for you to see it to hold your phone. while you do it If you have kids, they will love this item. It's just such a neat little tool for fun or even serious projects. I was surprised at how well it gained weight. I have an iPhone XR and it had to be adjusted a bit to fit properly and my case, the Otterbox Defender, is too big to work properly. But without the case it fits and works well. My daughter's iPhone 12 Pro Max has a smaller case and fits the case much better. But due to the way their cameras work together, it was useless after the 2.5x zoom. All you will see is a drop. I've only had it a few hours, but so far my take on this loupe is that it's a bit pricey. But it's worth it if you want to use it for fun or serious projects. I don't like taking my phone out of a case. So a disadvantage for me. But I could probably buy a cheap case to use with this one. It has a built-in ring light with a rechargeable battery. The battery came out of the box completely empty. It took a few hours to charge. I left it for about 2 hours and when I came back everything was ready. Maybe I'll add some photos to my review later. As I said, it's quite difficult to get a stable picture and I want to try and get some good shots. If you have a Pixel or a phone with a really good camera, chances are the pictures will look incredible. My XR, photos look good at best at full zoom.
