Review on 🐶 Durable and Effective Dogtra YS600 Rechargeable Waterproof High-Output No Bark Collar by Cara Ruiz

Recommended for experienced dog owners and for cage separation rehabilitation

I've had this for a week now and it's been working great so far. I've only had to use it 4 times and after the first 4 fixes my separation prone dog is no longer yelling or howling in his cage let alone hurting himself. I noticed that the collar isn't compatible with fixes - meaning it will howl and bark, get fixed and then immediately go on howling or barking. Although my dog figured it out quickly and realized the vibration was a warning of a fix. Now he has settled into his cage and sleeps most of my absence (up to 4 hours) without hurting himself in the cage, without screaming in his forehead and without disturbing the neighbors (I live in an apartment). I do not recommend leaving a collar on a dog if you have been gone more than 4 hours. I also don't recommend leaving it with your dog all the time. This collar has been recommended to me by several dog trainers - please consult and work with your local dog trainer before putting an eco collar on your dog. Put it on your dog. I also suggest buying a "dog cam" or some type of security camera to watch/monitor your collared dog. The collar does not correct my dog for any whining, expect your dog to still whimper with or without the collar. Dogs are animals, they whine from time to time. Don't get a dog if you can't take fur or whining. DO NOT give your dog cong, gum or other toys as the vibrations from chewing can cause the collar to correct the dog for no reason. PLEASE check the collar before putting it on your dog (read the instructions to understand what I mean by "checking the collar”). The collar should vibrate as a warning before correcting the dog. I started vibration therapy only the first day my dog had it and he completely ignored it (he has severe separation anxiety and will hurt himself in his cage). I only use level 1 and this is the only level I would personally use on my dog. My biggest goal was to keep my dog from getting hurt and to learn how to relax on his own so no one is in the same room with him. I have achieved this goal with this collar and a lot of training. I do NOT recommend using a collar for dogs with reactivity, especially on walks. I have only used this collar for separation anxiety with a caged and leashed dog in my home. The sole purpose of this collar is to correct his mental state before he injures himself with anything around him (breaking his bars, furniture, etc.). Be sure to place the collar in a different spot near your dog's vocal cords each time you use the collar to avoid skin irritation. If your dog has long hair, try replacing the metal teeth with longer ones. You can even buy a Dogtra "dummy e-collar” to prevent your dog from getting "collar smart” without leaving the real collar on your dog.
