I use these to put filters on the lids of steins for liquid mushroom preparation and for grain caviar. I've used a few dozen filters so far. I had no problems. Jars/lids/filters go through the pressure cooker. Depending on whether I'm doing liquid culture or grain spawn, that means either 30 or 90 minutes at 15psi. There has been no deterioration and there are several caps/filters that I have used 4 times that have retained their integrity. Just a word of caution when using this or any syringe filter for this purpose: make sure you place a piece of aluminum foil loosely over the lid and filter. This is necessary so that no condensed water gets into the filter when cooling down in the pressure cooker and possibly obstructs the air flow.
