I wouldn't recommend this mount, especially for a car. There are two reasons for this: 1. The ball mount part on the side of the phone is not built into the large flat part that the phone touches. It's held in place by a small screw in the plastic that snapped off before I could tighten the ball clamp on the first try. 2. The ball clamp consists of only 4 independent parts that are tightened when the clamp is screwed on. This is a problem because no matter how hard you tighten the screw on the ball, it won't lock securely since the plastic doesn't flex much. Other bindings I've used have 8 sections which offer more flexibility and a tighter fit. The magnet holds well and charging worked, but the ball mount design is a major drawback. Also, if you want to plug it into a 12V outlet, you'll need an extra adapter as it only has a USB-A to USB-C cable.
