Electronic Soldering Iron, SREMTCH 80W Precision Soldering Iron Kit. My husband's job often requires him to carry out repairs in remote locations away from his place of work. He was a bit skeptical at first, but this adjustable temperature soldering iron works fantastic! It heats up quickly and the backlit LCD shows the temperature at a glance. A small knob on the handle provides temperature control over a full temperature range commonly used for a wide variety of materials and thermal masses. The power cord has a grounded plug, but the tip itself is galvanically isolated from all pin circuitry, including ground (i.e. it has a floating tip). This is not necessarily a problem with ESD either, but it should be taken into account. Of the other items included, five more tips and a soldering tool are the most useful. There is a piece of brass wool, but it's quite small. There's a two-piece stand, but our kit didn't include the bolt and wing nut needed to assemble it; no big deal, but the stand is useless without it. Also, the power cord is about 1.2m long, meaning you'll either need to be near an outlet or have an extension cord handy. It is very well priced and you get a fully adjustable soldering pin for about double the price of a cheap fixed temperature soldering pin. Recommend.
