I'm 5'2", 140-145 lbs, waist 32" to 33" and size 42 -43 hips in inches (large luggage) is not very short for me as I am small, long is ok. XL is about two fingers or almost 2" wider, more on my waist. I believe XL fits a waist easily from 34-36". And hips up to 46 inches because the shorts are stretchy. I wear large and usually XL from China. The bottom is ok but the shorts are the wrong size somewhere. I will return it and buy a size L. You can choose a smaller size. Hope that helps. I bought silver, don't know if there are other colors in the same size.
