Review on Scotchgard Clear Surface Protection 120 Inches by Will Bremer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but I was short circuited.

This is my first time using this product. I have applied it to a newly painted Harley Tour-Pak where the passenger seat back rests (it rubs the paint off) and a newly painted fairing where the control wires sometimes contact the paint. The curves and angles on the surfaces made it easier for me to cut the foil into pieces. I used a solution of distilled water, alcohol, and baby shampoo. It was easy for a beginner, but it takes a little extra effort to get through the corners. I used one of the thin yellow plastic spatula squeegees which came in handy in tight corners and I found that keeping all of the material wet helped position the film properly. I was happy with how it turned out and with the pearly white color you really have to look closely to see where the foil is. This product was advertised as 120 inches long but was actually only 96 inches long. Luckily it was enough to do what I wanted; otherwise I would have sent it back. It shouldn't be that hard to measure 120 - it should be new math! So I'm deducting a star for that. Gather people!
