There was a Motorola Wifi Gateway with a very buggy router. Many disputes also arose between Motorola and Xfinity in an attempt to solve the problem. None of them provided any real evidence as to why. I connected it to a separate WiFi router and it seemed to work, but Motorola became a router again. So we chose this Arris modem and a separate router. The Arris modem booted up correctly, but Xfinity CS said they couldn't see it, so (as usual) it must be bad. When they called Arris they asked me to check a few things, found the modem was ok and told me to contact a tech not CS at Xfinity and also told me what I was about she should ask. Arris seems to know more about Xfinity than Xfinity. After doing what they said, Xfinity Tech got me up and running in minutes. Thanks Arris Has been working great for a few weeks now.
