MindNode is a free mind mapping software that allows you to create, edit, and share mind maps.
I love the ease of use of MindNode and how easy it is to add new nodes, links, and pages. MindNode works great for brainstorming projects or planning my next steps. Its intuitive interface makes creating mind maps a breeze. My favorite feature is the built in export to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, HTML, and even Keynote presentations. When adding files to your mind map, you can simply drag them into the document window. It also has integrated screen capture tool so you can easily save screenshots to the clipboard.
Pros
- It is a very simple product and easy to learn and use
- I like that the project management features work as stand alone from the core functionality
Cons
- Some functions do not work in offline mode
- Its is limited by a single function, i.e., a person can only create one mindmap at a time
- That could be tedious and sometimes does not allow the person to edit their mindmap without exporting and importing again.
