Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Inkbird Wireless Thermometer IBS-TH2: Bluetooth Temperature Sensor for Freezers with Android and iOS APP (Temperature Sensor ONLY) by James Ohlrogge

Small Bluetooth temperature monitor, nothing more to say

This device does exactly what it was designed for, no more and no less. It is very good. However, there are limitations on what you can use it for without using another device for constant tracking. Pros: - Simplicity - Accuracy - Small form factor - Works anywhere (due to battery drain) Cons: - Requires a second device (mobile phone/tablet) to always be there to set alarm etc - Name apps are confusing. (ENGbird vs Inkbird?) - Android app requires the app to be open for reading and alerts (although this can be fixed as it's not a device restriction) - No public API so not easy to set up, e.g. with a dedicated Raspberry Pi - no Wi-Fi (again, not designed for Wi-Fi, but limits its usefulness) - no dedicated power option (USB port, proprietary port). If I had this, I could install this temperature monitor semi-permanently in my Keezer and not have to worry about changing the battery. Anyway, for what this little device can do at its price point, it feels great. Let me know a little more about the temperature of my supply lines without too much fuss, and combined with some AAA rechargeable batteries, this would be a decent battery solution. If only the Bluetooth protocol was published somewhere or the RaspberryPi program for constantly reading sensor values was offered. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž
