I have a D-Link DIR-820L router that I bought from Revain about a year ago. I live in an apartment building with plastered/turned walls and get terrible WiFi reception when I'm more than 1 wall away from my router until I plug in this range extender. I bought a D-Link AC1200 wireless range extender. , took it out of the box, plugged it in, pressed the WPS button on my D-Link router and the WPS button on the D-Link repeater. That's all I had to do other than enter the password for my two channels (1) 2.4GHz and (2) 5GHz. Now I can't find a spot in my apartment that doesn't get a great signal. When my tablet is connected to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz extender, I get even better reception than I've ever had with a router, even when I'm closer to the router than to the extender.
