Review on Filter MoCA Cable Coaxial Networks Television & Video by Corey Listner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally solved the problem with hanging cable box.

I had a terrible freeze and pixelated joy with the cable box in the bedroom, I mean terrible, but aside from calling the cable company's technical engineer I was looking for a solution. I have an NVR on the ground floor and two mini cable boxes in my bedrooms. Both the DVR and one of the mini cable boxes in the bedroom work fine. The cable box in the other bedroom was a nightmare to get a stable picture. The thing freezes constantly and the delay when pressing a button on the remote takes forever to get through to the box. The coax connection from this cable box exits the wall into a splitter that leads to a cable modem and mini-loop cable box. All indications were that the cable modem was interfering with the signal as when the internet was working along with the TV in this bedroom the picture stuttered more than when the internet was not on either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. I read about these mocha filters and at this price point it was worth it. In the beginning I had internet when I connected before the splitter, but the ring cable box didn't boot, so contrary to all assumptions as to what a normal mocha filter connection should look like, I plugged the mocha filter into the cable modem after the splitter connection, whereby the coaxial connection, the one with the TV is delivered without filter remains. Bottom line, I think I've made it so far. No freezing of the TV, the remote control works immediately. Cable modem and phone will continue to work. Same internet speed. I've struggled with this problem for a year, kicked the glass aside to fix it, and it turns out that an inexpensive mocha filter is all that's needed to fix the signal interference problem from the splitter to the cable modem/cable modem to loosen the cable box. .Highly recommended if you are having trouble with signal interference anywhere in your wired connection.
