This is the second one we have bought - the older one is about ten years old and still like new. They are made of thick, heavy plastic that won't become brittle or crack in the cold. They're easy to clean and extremely weather-resistant, although as other reviewers point out, they're not waterproof unless you tape off the four latch slots and cover the vent on the back of the roof.
