I have had lymphedema in my left leg since I was a teenager and had lymphatic drainage therapy many years ago, but my supportive care has failed and lately my leg has been bothering me when I'm not in bed lying, obviously . I was prescribed a pressure of 30-40 mm Hg. Art. a few years ago and the first pair of stockings i bought weren't tight enough. Others found the band in the upper part of the shin uncomfortable and dug into my skin. My mother now has Lymphedema so I was looking for something for both of us and came across her. The closed toe sometimes hurts me, and besides, these open toes also allow me to wear strappy flip flops/sandals. They don't dig into my calf too much in the group and provide reliable compression!
