Great camera that's worth $50!

This little camera is a hidden gem from Revain. I found it because the youtuber was looking through the camera while installing it in his sonata. I liked his review and how the camera met his expectations for value for money after trying a cheaper camera. I compared it with my friend's dash cam and the thing is better in every way: clear picture and even in the dark in low light you can see everything, and the range is much wider than other cameras. INSTALLATION: The instructions say how to install it, but being my first time making electrical connections I really got lost and it took me 8 hours to complete. It wasn't management's fault it was my lack of experience that made it really difficult and also I have no mechanical knowledge as I'm a 30 year old female although I did a full touchscreen install and did a few relays and I've swapped fuses but I've never touched a car headlight lol and that seemed Greek to me but when I did I realized it's the easiest way, it just takes time and patience to get it right make. HOW TO DO IT: My advice is definitely to look at a lot of YouTube videos and photos and diagrams with installation guides on the internet and then of course study your car's wiring. Most rear view cameras work on the same principle, and this one is no exception. Shift into reverse first while having someone locate the reverse light to be sure where it is. Then disconnect the positive car battery to avoid accidents. I always do this when working with the wiring. Don't risk your safety and the safety of your car. Third, connect the camera connectors after installing them on the back of your car according to your car model and follow the diagram in the manual and make sure you connect the red wires from the yellow and red connectors to the positive wire of one Connect your reversing light (in my case it was the blue wire and the black wire was ground, but every car may be different). Finally, route the video cables (yellow connector with red wire) to the front of the vehicle and connect them to the monitor or rear-view mirror, if equipped. I should warn you that the yellow video jack and the red wire attached to it must be connected to the radio (on the back) and its backup wire (also behind your radio) or the reverse camera will not work. and you might think it doesn't work at all lol :). Well, how to place the camera in the car and disassemble the reversing light to connect the wires depends on the model of your car, so search on google or youtube. One more thing, we stuck the wires together, soldered and glued them together, this gives a much better picture quality than just sticking and gluing. CONS, but not much: the camera doesn't have a built-in light, so clarity depends on your vehicle. and streetlights, BUT you can see a bit, trust me. My solution was to replace the reverse lights in my car with LEDs ($13 extra) and now the quality is even better, but impressive even without them, so it's not a big deal. The camera wiring was long enough for my 2012 Sonata. But you can also buy an extra extension here in the ad, I couldn't use it and am sending it back, but you can check the length of your car. The camera does not have a remote control that can be used to set guide lines or parking lines perfectly. I also bought it here, it is not expensive and very useful, so I recommend you to buy it. Not sure if it should be enabled but the camera is really good compared to cheaper models that don't have it either. The remote needs to be manually connected to the rest of the sockets, you can set up the camera and when you're done remove the remote and hide the connections in the car as you'll only need the remote once this time. One more thing, the camera comes with a mounting system that you can attach to one of your license plate lights on the outside of the plastic, but I chose to adapt and drill it in so the camera fits perfectly. This isn't necessary, I did it for more reliability. In general very satisfied. I installed it a day ago and I've been testing it for two days, but it promises good things :) PS: the photo I'm posting was taken at night with no lights other than my car's original lights, which were subsequently changed to LEDs so you can see know that the quality is excellent even without them.
