Easy to install, for so much money it seemed ideal. After about 2 days the water started to taste strange and the ice became unusable. Our ice machine started to have an odd buildup of off-white foil, and the water and ice tasted the same even before the buildup started. Even in a glass of ice water that stood and evaporated, the same dust was at the bottom. So rude. We use the filter recommended by the manufacturer, although it is 3x more expensive. It's true, you get what you pay for.
