Review on 🧵 DREAMSTITCH 5mm Acrylic Patchwork Quilting Template for Long Arm Sewing Machines with Free Motion 1/4-inch Presser Foot by Kim Sanchez

I didn't pay much attention to this when I bought it - it's only 5mm thick so less than 1/4 inch and this ruler can slip under the ruler's leg! I saw the "long arm" and assumed that was the standard thickness without bothering to convert inches to millimeters. When I first used it, it slipped under my ruler leg (Bernina Q20) and made some pretty scary noises. I can attach thick silicone "handles" to lift it, but I still have to be very careful when using this ruler - if the bumper is too far from the edge it can still slide under it. That's a shame, because that issue aside, it's a wonderful ruler with some really useful shapes. The teardrop shapes make beautiful flowers and feathers, the circle is great for overlapping circles in a border or band, and the curved sides are good for all different things. just scares me to use it, my typewriter wasn't exactly cheap and I don't want to damage it with wrong ruler.
