That's about a third the cost of an OEM replacement battery, so it's a cheap stopgap solution. We bought the Shark from Bed Bath & Beyond for about $100 and the original battery lasted great for about a year. Then life got shorter and shorter. Changing the battery costs almost as much as we paid for the vacuum cleaner, so. But so far this battery is running at about 75% of the original battery, which isn't great, but it's better than throwing the Shark away. The battery will probably run out soon, and then we'll donate it so someone else can get the Shark for free, and they just have to buy a $35 battery to make it work. You need to use better batteries. Lithium ions for example.
