This shower head is great. After a few weeks of use I can definitely see a difference in my hair. So soft! This helps remove debris from my apartment's old pipes and creates a kind of soft water. The aromatherapy is wonderful and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. The water pressure is 50x stronger than before so this was a bonus I wasn't expecting. It's not a hundred dollar head, so don't expect the weight to be there like it is one. It feels light. Although I don't think it's plastic. No peeling or chipping. Honestly, it wouldn't matter if that was the case. This item serves its purpose and I have had no problems. I recommend it.
