To be honest this thing is pretty cool

To be honest this thing is pretty cool. I actually wanted a translucent red, but I needed it fast, and this regular translucent should have come sooner. Basically I wanted the LED behind it to glow and I needed a 3D shape that would stick. It helps if you can make it as thin as possible, which I did by squeezing it between two pieces of foil (it's probably better to roll it out on a flat surface, but I'm lazy) and then peeling the foil off pull off the top. away and shape it with the attached bottom sheet. It didn't bake long (less than 10 minutes, and it's true it burned a bit, but since I painted it I didn't care, but also, I actually made it *very* thin) and removed the bottom foil *after* it cured. Glue and bake it on my large piece (again, not too long since both are already baked, just enough for the modeling glue to set). I painted it with red acrylic paint, which I was afraid might be too opaque (but a felt tip pen will do), but it was fine with one coat. I am really impressed. Basically I did a hack job with this and didn't use any sculpting tools, but I'm sure if you are careful and use the tools you would achieve something even better. Sharpy works too), but with a coat of paint everything was fine. I am really impressed.
