I go to Asia on long business trips every 34 months and I'm used to using my 15.4 inch MBP at home and at work on a Having a stand and decided I needed a lightweight, portable stand that I can take with me on the go. I got a kickstand from a manufacturer called GoKing and it was good but not strong enough for typing on the laptop as it tended to tilt to one side or the other. I passed this on to my son who has a 13.3 inch MBP and was looking for a different solution. I saw an article about mBar Pro in a technical article and decided to give it a try despite its rather high price. Well, if you've already invested thousands in a new MBP and peripherals, what's another $60? The fact that it's only 4.6 ounces was a huge plus. I intend to use the stand both in hotel rooms and in the offices of suppliers I visit. I received the stand today and that's exactly what I had imagined. It's wide enough to keep the MBP steady while I'm typing and resting a wrist on it. The previous stand tended to tilt because the base was a bit narrow. It's very minimal, which is good, and the height is perfect. It's something I can carry with me and use anywhere. It fits the 15.4" MBP perfectly and the tabs that prevent the laptop from sliding off are also the right height and don't protrude above the surface of the open MBP. Very nice. It's an expensive stand but it is solid,elevates the laptop to a comfortable angle for browsing and typing and is very light.the carrying case is a nice touch as it prevents the stand from scratching anything in the bag.am very happy with this purchase.
