Bought a small pack to carry snacks, lunch and street junk (for packing) while hiking the Florida Trail and Appalachian Trail. I was looking for durability, functionality and some odor protection from both small and large critters. So far I've had great luck with the durability and functionality of these bags. The smaller ones are good for stowing snacks in the waistbelt pockets. I like the reassurance of not carrying the smell of my snacks in my hipbelt pocket, and I'm less likely to wake up from holes that shelter/camp mice have gnawed in my backpack. A packed lunch in one of the large bags just helps organize my backpack and then serves as a handy container for the day's junk until I get to camp to pack it into a large bag. (Leave no trace!)
