I am very satisfied with this load carrier. It's durable and assembly was easy. I RECOMMEND this carrier from Curt. I travel all over the country, mountain biking and camping, that's my hobby. I wanted something to carry extra cargo and even a generator if I go really deep. It works great and when not in use you can take it apart and store it in the car if needed. I've driven about 2000 miles, mostly highway miles, loaded with a Honda 3500 alternator and chainsaw and it has worked flawlessly. I reached the bottom, slowly moved several times in the forest, expecting that it would be damaged, but this did not happen. The initial assembly was quite easy, despite the mediocre instructions. There are 2 types of screws and each type of screw will only fit in the hole it is designed for. The center bar which if the main support for the whole holder goes in a certain direction just take a look and you will see. I didn't know this so didn't test which meant I found about 2/3 of the way out and had to take it apart and start over which only took 10 minutes. I used an electric impact wrench, but a regular drill or even a hand tool would work just fine. Do not tighten any of the screws until everything is assembled, this will give you some room to fit everything into place. Once everything is loosely assembled you can go and tighten it up.
