I don’t know for sure if it’s a carbon filter or Plasmacluster, but the air in the apartment is really cleaner. In general, I recommend, worth the money! With its pros. I bought this miracle before the start of the heating season, since the temperature in winter in my apartment is under 30 degrees, the air dries up to Zero! When first turned on, it showed a humidity of 32%, now with round-the-clock operation it shows 50% (+/- 5% ). Regarding the initial squeak, mine is silent like a partisan, if I forget (or do not have time, I arrive late from work) to fill in water, the red indicator will simply blink. Cons: As for the Water tank, I would like more, otherwise I have to fill it 3 times a day, otherwise it’s not enough. Didn't find any other cons.
