No idea why others don't like it. First, I washed the area well with alcohol three times using cotton swabs. Then I wiped dry and trimmed the piece. The square patch you receive is not for cleaning but for activating the glue hence the strange smell. I wiped it off and left it while I peeled off the bureaucratic tape and then stuck it on. It stuck together almost immediately and is now firmly in place. Looks great, one car with red line and the other with black and grey. Can only recommend this product, the price is also good. Easy to use. REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST CLEAN WELL FIRST. Protects the inside of the threshold very well.
