Review on 🔧 Optimize your Raspberry Pi with the BASEQI Low Profile Micro SD Adapter by David Dreher

I bought this to be able to store microSD cards in my laptop as it only had an SD card reader. Most of the SD card will be sticking out, so I needed a low-profile adapter so I could hold the cards without worrying about them breaking in a bag or something. This adapter does the job. I'm using it in a Lenovo Flex 5 (Ryzen 4000) and the adapter sticks out about 2mm, which is actually good because it's enough for you to get a fingernail in to pull it out. The adapter is not spring loaded so if it were flush it would never come out! As you can see from the picture, 2mm is not enough if I fear that it will eventually get stuck somewhere and break and it's not ugly to look at either, so I'm quite satisfied. I've had no problems running this on a Windows 10 x64 machine with a 64GB and a 256GB card for a few months. Speed seems good, both getting 90/60, so nothing wrong with that either. Make sure the dimensions are right for your use case and if so I recommend it!
