Review on 🎨 Angelus Brand Matte Finisher No. 620 Acrylic Leather Paint - 4oz by Daniel Revlon

Blistering, sticky after 5 days drying, bleeding Angelus Blue

Good. Pros Angelus Acrylic Sealant is cheap. In my opinion. Once dry (24 hours is allowed between thin coats) it has what appears to be a good protective barrier. minuses. Bubbles love your bubble bath cover and if you aren't careful and brush them slowly to pop them when dry they will leave tiny little whitish rings of bubbles. Small things have a big impact. It is NOT MATT. Not even close, it's very shiny and looks like shiny new plastic wrap. The big bummer is that it's tasteless in 4 different projects (I don't know why I've tried so many times). Sticky. a full day between layers and its stickiness. For two projects I waited a week and baked the sun. still sticky. Sticky enough that this wallet was able to stick to my fridge when tested. Luckily the paint didn't peel off. ALSO. I reported this to the manufacturer, the response was very good and professional but no solutions and it was assumed that I was just misusing the products. The blue Angelus paint for some reason was still bleeding even after a few days of drying and seeping into the finisher which I was cleaning. Just a little, but enough to ruin something if you don't notice it quickly. I had to top this bag with a coat of Liquitex Acryl Matt Varnish to reduce the shine and also remove the stickiness. So if you have a sticky project with a different sealant it seems to work.

Pros
  • Simple product to seal your leather artwork
Cons
  • Zero
