***Update: Anker contacted me and tried to fix the issue. They offered to replace/upgrade products to see if they better fit my needs. I've upgraded the rating to +1 star to reflect their excellent focus on customer service, which is a rarity these days, and what other users have reported. *** So I decided to try wireless charging. After the first few days I was tempted to return the product for the following reasons. 1) The phone must be positioned in a very special way, with no metallic obstacles in the way. There is a metal plate attached to my phone's case that can be used with magnetic car mounts. This involves removing the case, simply aligning the phone with the liner, and then beginning to charge. I'd rather just plug the cord straight into the phone! (I understand that this is not a product specific issue, but rather applies to wireless chargers in general). 2) The blue LED indicator is very badly placed. It is difficult to understand whether the device is working or not. It's a tiny, pin-sized LED that sits on one side of the pad - wouldn't it be better to put it on the side directly opposite where the cable plugs in? If you place it left/right (depending on your viewing angle) the phone will often cover the LED so you can't see what's going on! 3) I have one next to my bed but I'm always nervous that I wake up one morning to find the phone is dead and I overslept my alarm. Again, this isn't an Anker-related issue, but I think I'd rather have the "hassle" of plugging the cable directly into the phone for some peace of mind!
