I have a Nikon D3300. I also had a Dolica Proline 57" tripod. The Dolica tripod was surprisingly light at about 2.5 pounds and held my camera and included 50-200mm lens well. It was rated at 13 pounds. When I got my "Bought a new Tamron 70-300mm VC the Dolika could not hold the focus anymore. When I was photographing the moon, I saw the image fall out of the center of the viewfinder. No matter how I turned the knobs, I went back into the shop and compared the different tripods. Originally I wanted a $280 Manfrotto. But then Revain offered a promotion. Buying the selected Mefoto tripods gave a $50 coupon towards a future camera/lens purchase. So that was that Offer for me this tripod. I'm very happy with them. It's much heavier than the dolica I had. It's also bigger. Tripod. It's quite high, the center column is raised. So if you are a tall person, could this be a good stat iv be for you. It has an additional dial that allows you to tighten the head while still being able to move it a bit, and then you can reduce the position with the main dial. My other tripod didn't have this feature. When I mounted the lens on this tripod it held the position perfectly. I didn't realize my picture slipped into the viewfinder. I can't manage to fold it all the way up and fit in my bag properly. what's the trick
