Review on Inclinometer Protractor V Groove Magnetic Backlight by Robert Prix

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well. An upgrade would make it better.

This level works well. It has a V-groove at the top and bottom for spikes and two magnets at the bottom. Rotating it 180° also rotates the display, so you don't have to try to read it upside down. Readings can be changed from degrees to percent, mm/m to inches/ft for a variety of applications. You can turn the beep on and off. When on, it will start beeping as you approach a level and the beep will speed up as you level up. When you press 0°, the beep changes to a continuous tone. This is a nice feature, but it would be better if you could adjust how close you need to be for pure sound. Accurate zeroing is difficult when the sensor is measuring hundredths of a degree. However, this is a useful feature. The only room for improvement: it would be nice if the display could be rotated vertically and zeroed. Instead it shows 90°.

Pros
  • ANGLE CONVERSION: Conversion between: 4 x 90˚ m/m: 1000 mm/m, %: 100%, in/ft: 12 in/ft. Usually absolute, this tool also has a relative measurement mode for quickly measuring the angle between two measured surfaces.
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
