Belt provides flexibility and no problem pulling them up during workouts, leggings are covered just below the knee which I like, I tend to get very hot during cardio , I'm 5ft 10" and 160lbs with a 33" waist, I personally wear gym shorts over that, the color I bought is not see-through but I would consider them see-through given the flex and light conditions are they really compression garments ? Probably not but they are dense and stay in place and they offer some warmth, I've worn them to the gym and washed them several times with no issues.
