GMC Sierra 2500 Crew CabLikes Tailgate Handle/Bezel Factory optics were good and camera target Mechanical inclination and vehicle wiring experience. (Note: if you are inexperienced I suggest finding a friend or going to a car stereo shop to install it.) Dislike - Linking to a YouTube video is fine, but searching for a video is fine for a specific installation takes some time. . Where is the OMotor video?! You have to fill in the blanks in most videos. - Instructions require more installation details: - Tailgate removal instructions were not included. I've done it, but many haven't. - All GMC models use the green wire for the reverse lights. Those unfamiliar with this will have to look it up themselves if it can be included in the instructions in addition to the location of the wire/harness as they are in the same place for all uses of that particular knob/bezel. - No solderless snap-in quick connector to connect to factory wiring. - The instructions say to loosen the screws in the plural. Three screws hold the tailgate handle/frame. However, only the bottom screw needs to be removed to lock the handle/frame. This should be stated in the instructions. - There are no instructions on the location and size of the hole to be drilled in the underside of the tailgate and possibly the underbody, as well as the recommended location for the hole in the front bulkhead. (Note: A hole in the center of the bed frame was already present, but a grommet was still required (see below). The tailgate hole can be aligned with this bracket. - No grommet for body panel holes to protect wiring. These grommets come with Supplied with other similar Revain products - No instructions for threading cable through rear door Requires either electrical tape or a flexible automotive gripping tool Clip metal is too soft and clip tabs break when inserted into clip hole after spring back into the clip hole (e.g. use factory clips instead of cheap imitations) Use factory clips from the old factory grip frame and mount them on the new grip/camera frame so that the grip/frame is firmly seated.
