So far so good - Meat

After purchasing this for my Kamado grill, I used it for overnight grilling and smoking. Out of the box setup was pretty easy, including accessing the app for both my Android tablet and iPhone. The device doesn't appear to be waterproof, but the clear plastic bag made up for that in a pinch. Battery life is pretty good and my overnight smoke was around 18 hours and I've also grilled twice so probably 20 hours on the same battery so far. Although the probes are heat resistant, the colored probes will be burned by fire. If you are grilling your steak I would remove the probe or at least wrap the plastic part in foil if you are direct grilling. I contacted support@soraken.cn to find a replacement sensor and they shipped it right away. The counter is very accurate, with many settings for grill heat (useful when using a grill clamp) and different types of meat. An alarm goes off when you reach the set temperature for the meat or when your grill gets too hot or too cold. It also has a programmable setting for custom target temperatures - my only concern is that it doesn't allow for a temperature range, which is useful for novice kamado smokers who want a wider temperature range when smoking. Overall I think this is a great device. by price. While I wish all six probes were included, I probably won't use all of them unless I'm having fun. And customer service will be happy to help you.
