So, I opened the box as soon as I got it today and at first I didn't realize how small it is, but it's more of a reading problem. When I then took the globe out, I quickly saw that it was a manufacturing defect - I have two southern hemispheres. Luckily I'm using this globe for a project that requires me to repaint the entire surface of the globe so I don't really have to return the globe. Especially after laughing so much about it. Aside from the obvious inconsistency, I like the product for what I paid for it. It's easy to take apart for a project, spins well, and is larger than I originally wanted.
