Note, most AA rechargeable batteries are 1.2Volts. For items that require 1.5Volts, you'll find the 1.2V variety to be marginal at best.EBL batteries are quality built and vastly better than most of the junk batteries so prevalent in the marketplace. The charger is efficient, fast and purpose built for these 1.5V batteries. Other chargers are very likely built for 1.2V and won't get the job done.
