Review on 🚴 Evolution Vittoria Tire by Brian Kingsford

On and off road this is one of the most advanced tires I have ever bought. I've worked with both Forte Pisgaugh tires and WTB slicks in the past. Once I had an off-road tire in the front and a slick in the back. This is the first time I have matched tires in a long time and that is because with this tire I have the performance I need and want on both tyres. For the front it is important that I have traction as skidding is always a problem when cornering on sand pavement, but the rear wheel always has good traction due to the weight distribution and therefore the tire should not have the same grip properties. The front tire is set to a lower pressure than the rear tire and I'm good to go! Buying a multi-purpose tire can be risky, many different things. One thing I was concerned about, which I (correctly) predicted, was the tendency of some tires to catch pebbles between the treads. This almost never happens with this tire and when it does the tire will clean itself out so the pebbles will eventually fall off. I've had other tires in the past that were very stubborn at holding up pebbles. This isn't one of them. I usually drive on paved roads, but gravel roads and off-road driving are not prohibited. The front tire was accidentally installed upside down, but I didn't have time to turn it over before work, so I left it, thinking it would help to break it in more thoroughly. It is still installed backwards because the driving characteristics are quite satisfactory. I crashed into a 6 inch corner the other day (raindrops hit my glasses and sloppiness) and it was a shock but when I was thrown off the seat there was no damage to the front wheel. Curb grab and roll over issue. This is one of the reasons I plan on leaving it "inverted" and also because the tread pattern looks very stable under load in this configuration.
