Review on πŸ–‹οΈ Speedball Block Printing Tool Set by Carrie Spencer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Basic set with storage in the handle

The set has a good selection of blades that are stored in the handle. I think that's a good argument for a plastic pen. Wood would be nicer to hold, but the storage option you get with plastic means you're less likely to lose blades. A good thing. If you're a beginner like me, be sure to order paint and linoleum blocks when ordering a set. It doesn't contain anything (and frankly, it doesn't claim to). I tried some Falling in Art soft linoleum carving blocks in white, which worked well for my first try. Didn't quite get the ink, but I went back and drybrushed with other colors. It's not exactly what I want, but if I can upload an image you'll see what a beginner can do with the tools.

Pros
  • Tools and tool kits
Cons
  • Not sure
