Review on πŸŽ’ BV Strap-On Bike Saddle Bag: Enhanced Seat Bag for Cycling by June Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the best bag for the money on the market.

I ordered the larger version of the bag which when fully open is about the size of a medium sized Topeak Aero Wedge. I bought the BV because of all the rave reviews but in my eyes I thought it was rubbish because of the price but when I received it and compared it to the Topeak Aero Wedge it is made out of the exact same materials! I was very surprised by the quality of the BV bag. The difference between Topeak and BV, besides the size, is that the BV pocket widens at the bottom while the Topeak pocket widens at the back. In general, the rear extension is more useful but doesn't lower the star rating I gave BV because BV wins in price with the same features as the more expensive Topeak case. Both BV and Topeak use the same durable material that is water, abrasion and tear resistant. If you compare them side by side you will think they come from the same factory. The material they use outperforms other bags by using a thinner material that just doesn't last long compared to these two. Collapsible pliers, a spare tube, iron, a QuikStik, some hand wash pads, an Altoids can that I converted to hold my repair kit and lots of other bits and pieces, and room for my cell phone and energy bars for longer. rides. My phone isn't one of those big ones that probably won't fit. I don't know how waterproof the BV bag is, but just in case I've silicone-coated all my bags, which you should reapply at the end or beginning of each season. After doing that, I no longer worry about driving in the rain and finding wet stuff in it.
