These rubber pads won't stick to the bottom of laptops. Suction cups don't suck very much to begin with, and since the bottom of a laptop is grainy rather than smooth plastic, air escapes and renders it almost unusable. I'm considering using superglue to get them working, but that can be an issue when getting the laptop in and out of the backpack. It would be nice to make the pads black to make them less noticeable.
