Review on Stinger CH38 2 Cap Staple Hammer by Tim Ram

Don't be afraid of negative reviews, the tool works great!

This tool worked very well. I hesitated to buy it because of the negative reviews. I've found it easy to use and effective for tacking Tyvek to new building walls. The first time installation is a bit confusing. Here are some tips1) Staples are loaded from the back of the tool. You need to open the green drive door to find the staple box. Once found, it is no different from other staple tools. 2) To open the flip cover, pinch the green side of the cover to form a C in the center of the circle with your thumb and forefinger. Then gently pull up. There are simple plastic clasps that keep it closed. When you press the cover, the latches compress and release. 3) Temporarily place the roll of green disks into the inverted green cover by sliding the green disks into the bottom of the stapler. The green discs should detach from the top of the roll. After threading, move the reel to the black half of the tool, then close the green cover. 4) Once you've partially screwed the green washers into the correct hole, you can access them through the slots on the bottom of the tool. Use a spare nail or screwdriver to advance the green washers until one of them is fully protruding from the end of the tool. Using the tool is easy. Hit the tool like a hammer on Tyvek. The strut penetrates the green disc. The green disk detaches from the roll. A cutter is not required and is not included. Weak plastic ties between the panes are simply torn. After hitting the instrument, pull the trigger once to advance the next green disc. Sometimes it doesn't feed properly and pressing the shutter button multiple times still doesn't advance the disc. That is not important. Turn the tool over and use your fingernail to slide the green disk through the slots on the bottom. In my experience, there were probably about 25 good feeds and then one bad feed. Just introduce it manually and it will continue to work flawlessly.
