The first layer, which most closely resembled a regular puzzle, was very difficult, mainly due to the fact that all the pieces were almost the same size, shape and color. It's too easy to put a piece in the wrong place. The second layer is foam. Some of the foam pieces will be cut out like a regular jigsaw puzzle, others will be cut out but not completely. They come out in big chunks. Should I separate them? As it turns out, no, because there's no evidence of how they fit together. The foam layer does not adhere well to the first layer. The third layer, plastic buildings, is impossible. Each building must be searched in your favorite online map program. Even then, there is controversy over where certain buildings are located. And some plastic parts have holes cut into the foam, while others don't. Small pieces of tape are included in the box with no instructions on how to use them. The company does not respond to requests for additional guidance. Emails are usually not responded to. These puzzles are a great idea, very poorly executed. save your money
