Lightest Cell Phone Camera Stand

I was looking for the lightest "tripod" for my iPhone to use on the go. Compactness was also on the wish list. This Yunteng Selfie Stick/Monopod/Tripod is what you need. It appears to be an all-aluminum construction with good fit and finish. 6.6 oz (187 g) on my scale 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) fully folded. 44 inches (111.8 cm) fully extended. tripod leg to the next. The shaft is telescopic and is kept extended by friction. It can barely hold 31 oz (879 g) before breaking. But strong enough for my 8 ounce phone. The tripod legs open and return freely with slight friction. They don't stay in place. This allows you to bring your foot a little closer to compensate for uneven ground. But this device works best on a flat surface. There are mods that can help. See below. A standard 1/4" camera thread is provided as the attachment point for the phone mount. You can use your own spring memory or the one that came with the unit. Allows 180 degree rotation and a screw to tighten the position as desired. It lacks a ball joint, which is a problem at large settings. One modification is to carry a Shepard hook tent pole. Once set up, tuck the pole next to the tripod leg and let the hook hold the foot down. Another option is to drape a coat or shirt over the tripod to hold it. There is a rechargeable Bluetooth remote control. The remote control has an on/off switch. According to the instructions, one charge lasts 20-25 hours. It is easy to use pair with my iPhone 12. Pro Max. The remote only takes photos or starts and stops video recording on my phone. The remote is for portability and using as a selfie stick fairly firmly attached to both tripod legs. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the field, but given its weight and folded size I'm pleased at first glance.
