Review on 🔧 iCarsoft MBII - Advanced Diagnostic Tool for Mercedes Benz/Sprinter/Smart: ABS, SRS, and More by Loren Slama

Internal coding cannot be changed.

that I am an old mechanic and much (still - not everything!) in cars understand. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I was in my 80's. That's because I'm not entirely versed in modern electronics, but I'm getting better and better. I bought this device hoping to dig a little deeper into the brain of my 2011 Mercedes CLS63 AMG. I have a problem that I can solve with the Mercedes STAR diagnostic tool, but this way is bloody expensive. I was hoping that this MBII carsoft box would be able to do what I really wanted which was to encode TPMS on Merc. Basically I removed the TPM sensors on my car when I changed the wheels. I figured I could just take the car to a Mercedes dealership and have it tell the car's brain that it doesn't care that the TPMS system isn't working and "code" it. Well, the dealer won't do it because he says it's against the Fed Regs. Option #1 is to purchase the Mercedes STAR diagnostic software and a laptop to run it. I know this will solve my problem. Well, this option costs about two thousand dollars. After reading about the iCarsoft block I hoped it could fix the TPMS issue. Decided I would risk about $150 to see it. Well, he won't do what I want. Have tried many different things and different menus and so far it "resets" the warning light to make it go away. This is temporary and the TPMS gauge will return after about 20 miles or so. As far as I can tell this MBII box takes you further into diagnosing the internal workings of the car and shows you things: values, voltages, resistances and open circuits - which you would get with a normal OBDII diagnostic tool on a car part store - won. etc. However, this tool does not allow you to code or change the values of the systems in your vehicle like the STAR diagnostic tool does. ICarsoft Developer: If I am wrong in my assessment, please contact me and let me know. I'm happy to repeat - if I'm wrong
