I bought this as a pre filter for the Express Water Whole House filtration system to extend the life of my system. Installation was very easy but as I used your regular Teflon tape to begin with and it leaked once the system was pressurised, so I did a little research and found that the Blue Monster pipe thread sealing tape I used on mine local hardware store felt better immediately and i removed the filter from the system and reinstalled it and there is no more leakage! Very happy with this filter, the build quality is top notch!
